About us

The Alpamys school was officially opened on June 1, 2018. The new school building was commissioned on November 11, 2022—with a total area of 28500 sq.m. The designed capacity of the school is 1008 places; currently, the school has 81 students in preschool classes and 829 students from grades 1-10. The number of students in a class is up to 22 students. The school has a 25-meter swimming pool and a small pool for learning to swim. 3 sports halls. The school’s equipment with modern computers and multimedia means allows students to conduct research activities: Number of classrooms – 84, 6 computer classes, computer park – more than 215 PCs, interactive panels – 84. School canteen for 700 seats. Full-day school from 8.00 to 18.00

School students actively participate in various Olympiads, competitions, and championships in various areas and have good achievements. For instance, students won thirteen prizes at the Republican intellectual competition “Kangaroo Mathematics for All,” won two prizes at the Republican Distance Olympiad in English, one prize at the Republican Championship in Sports Robotics “KazRoboSport-2022”, 2 prize places the Republican Olympiad in Geography and the Russian Language. In addition, students took part and showed good results in the IX Republican Art Competition “Akberen” and in the VII International Festival of Robotics, Programming, and Innovative Technologies. In the future, it is planned to ensure the participation of students in competitions and summer internships at foreign universities. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the new school management team adjusted the management model and the School Development Concept, and a development plan for 2022-2025 was formed. School management and leadership are interrelated practices that the school administration pays special attention to. An important factor in the school is the voice of each of its employees, which is listened to and taken into account when making collective decisions of strategic importance.

The school already has all the necessary technical conditions for inclusive education by the requirements of regulatory legal acts.; the possibility of full-time training during the period of quarantine measures; the school provides a wide range of additional educational services, both of an intellectual and creative, sports and motor nature, which creates conditions for the comprehensive development of students; an increase in the volume of the teaching load in English, mathematics in grades 0-10, the introduction of Chinese, the implementation of the program of the Singapore method of teaching phonics (English), mathematics and Science, which satisfies the needs of the parents of students; expanded coverage, the Olympiad movement, the effectiveness of participation in geography, chemistry in primary school, the Russian language in primary school, the high effectiveness of participation in competitions, competitions in robotics at the city and regional level; allowed Alpamys school to take a leading position in the ranking among private educational institutions.

Alpamys school actively promotes global citizenship and internationalism in education inside and outside the school. According to the school development plan for 2022-2025, it is planned to ensure the participation of students in the conference UNESCO, MUN, and TEDx; organize research projects and competitions on international topics and interests.

The school is working on cooperation with foreign schools from countries such as the USA, Malaysia, and the UK. The school sees the expected result of cooperation in expanding the multicultural consciousness of Alpamys school students, enriching their vocabulary and grammar, improving communication skills, as well as deepening the understanding of global problems and the prospects for their solutions. The school plans to cooperate with the Republic of Kazakhstan’s higher educational institutions and with international organizations such as the British Council, College Board, UNESCO, and CIS. The school expects that students will have the opportunity to participate in international conferences and summer programs, prepare for international exams and study at top universities worldwide. Currently, the school cooperates with the international independent non-profit non-political organization AIESEC, whose goal is to maintain peace and realize human potential through developing leadership qualities in youth, the organization of international exchanges and internships, forums, and other socially significant projects. Through cooperation, the school attracts the best foreign teachers from all over the world. This will allow our students to expand their mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, and biology knowledge and be ready to enter and study at foreign universities.

According to the school development plan for 2022-2025, the school plans to become a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS) with subsequent international accreditation. Having received the status of an international school, we will provide direct access for Kazakhstani students, from kindergarten, through primary and secondary schools, to international universities. In addition, the school will be more able to recruit, retain and train qualified, experienced, adaptable, and highly professional teachers and maintain them at a high level, promoting excellence through continuous professional development.
